1. First of all, make sure that the power is cut off to avoid electric shock accidents.
2. Open the housing of the motor and find the position of the carbon brush. Usually, the motor has carbon brush slots on both sides.
3. Use a screwdriver or wrench to remove the carbon brush cover. Note that the carbon brush cover may have several screws in place and need to be removed completely.
4. Remove the old carbon brush from the carbon brush slot. Check whether the carbon brushes are worn out, and if the wear is severe, they should be replaced with brand new ones.
5. Install the new carbon brush into the carbon brush slot. Make sure that the carbon brush is in good contact with the motor, and do not leave a gap so as not to affect the operation of the motor.
6. Reinstall the carbon brush cover and tighten the screws. Make sure the carbon brush cover is securely attached to the motor.
7. Check the carbon brush after installation to make sure that the carbon brush is not loose and can slide freely.
8. Close the housing of the motor and make sure the housing is tight.
9. Restore the power supply and turn it back on.
