Overheating and noise: If a carbon brush overheats during operation and is accompanied by loud noise, it may need to be replaced.
Large sparks: If the spark is large during operation, it indicates that the carbon brush may need to be replaced.
In addition, regular inspection and maintenance are also important means to determine whether carbon brushes need to be replaced. For example, check that the wear length of the carbon brush does not exceed two-thirds of its original length, and make sure that the carbon brush does not have the outside of the offset slip ring.
